FYI the “I’m mad that Virgin Voyages doesn’t pay for our champagne” comment is a joke. Some people don’t catch that because some people are GENUINELY UPSET that they have to pay for their own alcohol. I find this… interestingggg…. But everyone is allowed to have their own opinions!!

REDDIT. This sucked. Someone else posted a question in a forum (I didn’t even start it!!) and they asked if people tip on Virgin Voyages. I added my honest opinion which is “it’s totally optional, but yes… I tip.” Then I gave examples of when I do and do not tip and ranges of tip amounts. That’s right! I don’t tip 100% of the time. It’s when “it makes sense” and only WE can be the judge of when those times are. To say “I GOT ATTACKED” is an understatement. People flipped out and you know what? I’m not surprised. Because on Reddit you can use a little avatar and the “trolls” out there can hide anonymously behind the safety of their keyboard. I ended up taking the comment down because it was bananas. Cue the Gwen Stefanai “Bananas” song here. Am I pissed about it? No. Are there awful people in the world? Yes. But that’s the case anywhere.

When Dream Theater visited Trondheim, Norway, we got to sit down with two of the founders of the band, John Petrucci and John Myung. This was quite a special day for us, as Dream Theater for the first time ever played in the city where the origins of Dream Theater World started out. DTNorway had its homebase in this city for many years, and the people behind DTNorway took initiative to start Dream Theater World. I met so many regular Norwegian cruisers on my Norwegian Viva cruise that disliked this new Prima class of Norwegian Cruise Line ships that I started wondering if Norwegian had actually gone out of their way to create a new type of ship they knew current cruisers wouldn’t like! Perhaps to attract different cruisers, perhaps cruisers like me.

I’m not a regular Norwegian cruiser, largely because I’ve not been a fan of the Norwegian ships I’ve been on, but this ship did some things so differently it made me rethink my position, as you will hear.
