While testing the new Neural DSP Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Suite, I recorded some Dream Theater melodies from their latest album "A View from the Top of the World". A very good plugin, I think it's my favourite Neural DSP (or any guitar) plugin so far.

The guitar I'm using is just a "basic white JEM" = JEM7VWH with original Dimarzio Evos.

Hola! Tiempo sin vernos por acá! Estuve super ocupado estos últimos meses tocando muchos shows en vivo y no me quedaba mucho tiempo para hacer nuevos videos, pero bueno, ahora es tiempo de cuarentena así que me quedo en casa (tú también deberías quedarte en casa!) y espero poder grabar y subir unos cuantos videos.

Esta canción fue un reto personal. Quería aprenderla desde hace muchísimo tiempo, pero siempre había una excusa... o no tenía guitarra 7 cuerdas, o cuando tenía guitarra 7 cuerdas no encontraba el tiempo o la motivación para hacerlo. Pero ya! Ahorita tengo la 7 cuerdas y tuve las ganas! Ya era hora!

La afinación es Standard 7 cuerdas (de grave a agudo: B E A D G B E).

On to the Dual Rectifier model from the IK Multimedia Mesa Boogie collection for Amplitube 3...

I previously demoed the Mark IV model on my Facebook playing some "Mark" Dream Theater riffs, check it out if you haven't done so already.

For this one I kept it in the Dream Theater realm, but went for a Rectifier song, because, well, this is a Recto demo. "In the Name of God" it is! Enjoy!

I double tracked it this time. 2 single takes panned hard right and left (the video take is the LEFT side). I also added Mike Portnoy's original drum track so you can hear it in the context of the mix (even though there's no bass, which makes a big difference). Let me know what you think!
